(Studio) House Rules

Version: June 2026

Welcome to Cruise Control Studios. We want our studios to be a comfortable, professional and creative environment for everyone.

By entering and using our studios, all Clients and guests are expected to follow these House Rules. Our General Terms & Conditions remain applicable to all bookings.

1. Respect the Studios

Please treat our studios, equipment, instruments, furniture and communal areas with care.

Studio equipment may only be moved, connected, disconnected or adjusted with permission from a member of the Cruise Control Studios team.

If anything is damaged or stops functioning during your session, please notify us immediately.

2. Studio Time

Your session starts and ends at the times stated in your booking confirmation.

Set-up, preparation, soundcheck, saving and exporting files, packing up and clearing the studio are all part of your booked studio time.

If you arrive late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time.

Additional studio time is subject to availability and will be charged at the applicable rate.

3. Smoking

Cruise Control Studios is a non-smoking indoor environment.

Smoking is not permitted inside any studio or other indoor area.

A designated smoking area is available at the rear of the building. Please use this area exclusively and dispose of cigarettes appropriately.

4. Alcohol & Drugs

Moderate consumption of alcohol and soft drugs is permitted, provided that it does not interfere with the session, cause nuisance, create an unsafe situation or result in damage.

Excessive consumption of alcohol or soft drugs is not permitted.

The possession, use, supply or sale of hard drugs is strictly prohibited in and around Cruise Control Studios.

Cruise Control Studios reserves the right to stop further consumption, remove individuals from the premises or terminate a session where necessary.

5. Food & Drinks

Food and drinks are permitted in the studios, but please keep the spaces clean and tidy.

Where possible, we recommend using the shared kitchen for meals and other food.

Drinks placed on or near studio desks, equipment, instruments or other electronics are at your own risk.

If a spilled or knocked-over drink causes damage to equipment, instruments, furniture or other property, the reasonable repair or replacement costs may be charged to the Client responsible for the booking.

Please report any spills near equipment immediately.

6. Keep It Clean

Please leave the studio and all communal areas in a clean and reasonably tidy condition after your session.

Dispose of rubbish, remove food and drinks and return the space to the condition in which you found it.

If a studio or communal area is left excessively dirty and requires additional cleaning, additional cleaning costs may be charged.

7. Guests

The person or company making the booking is responsible for all guests attending the session.

Please let us know in advance if you expect an unusually large group, film crew, photographers, external professionals or other additional guests.

For safety and operational reasons, Cruise Control Studios may limit the number of people allowed in a studio or other area.

8. Personal Belongings

Personal belongings, instruments and equipment brought into Cruise Control Studios remain your own responsibility.

Please check that you have taken all personal belongings with you when leaving the studio.

Cruise Control Studios cannot guarantee the safekeeping of items left behind.

9. Files & Backups

Please make sure to back up all recordings, sessions, stems, masters and project files before leaving the studio.

Cruise Control Studios may temporarily retain files, but we cannot guarantee that files will remain available after your session or project has been completed.

Always leave with your own backup.

10. Respect Others

Please respect our staff, other Clients, artists, neighbours and everyone else using the building.

Aggressive, intimidating, dangerous, illegal or seriously disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Instructions from Cruise Control Studios staff regarding safety, equipment and use of the premises must be followed at all times.

11. Damage

The Client is responsible for damage culpably caused by the Client or by guests attending under their responsibility or invitation.

If you notice or cause any damage, please notify a member of our team immediately so that we can prevent further damage where possible.

  • Excessive alcohol or soft drug consumption

  • Possession or use of hard drugs
